TX650W 650W Power Supply Reviews

5 year warranty! A Brand you can turst!
The cables are a little long and aren't modular.

Recently I've been using alot of Corsair power supplies to build my systems and I've been really pleased. They don't seem to be DOA as frequent as some other brands. Everything you expect to come with a power supply is included and they package them sturdy. The only small gripe I have with these power supplies is the cables are a little long, which is good if you have a full tower, but in a mid tower they're too long. If Corsair came out with a modular power supply that would be great.

Powerful single rail, lots of connectors, solid build, quiet
Pricey, cable clutter due to non-modular design

This is a solid unit from corsair, and is backed by a 5 year warranty. Installed the unit without problem. There are plenty of connectors available for upgrades. However because this is not a modular design, cables tend to clutter the case, especially for compact cases. Even comes with a leather bag but can't see how one will carry a PSU around for fun.

Single rail, 120mm fan, 80 plus efficiency, lots of connectors, fully sheated cables
There is a lot of wire and connectors that may cause some cable management problems

This is a quality unit from Corsair. Very well packed and presented. There are enough connectors and power for future upgrades. This unit supplies more than the rated power so user will not be disapppointed in performance. I had a 550w fail and Corsair rma'd without problem

Well, it worked for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, it died. Did some more comprehensive research and found that this is a reoccurring problem.

Have sent the unit back to Corsair, following their instructions. Have not heard back from them in 2 weeks. Have gotten no response from my emails requesting a status update. I do not know about anyone else, but I will not buy another Power Supply from them, ever.

Plenty of power... 52A on a single 12V rail! Energy efficient, and is quiet & cool. Lots of power connectors, so if you have a bunch of system components, you'll going to have no troubles
As mentioned above, lots of power connectors, so if you have a small case, could be a problem.

Absolute power... extremely quite, and great 5 year warranty. This psu has a 24/20 pin ATX, a EPS/ATX12V 8-4 pin, 2 PCI-E 6/8 pin, 8 SATA, 8 4-pin, & 2 floppy connectors. As mentioned above, if you have a small case, could be a problem. I had to use my empty spare optical drive bay to store the unused cables in, so I won't be adding another drive. No big deal, since I hadn't planned on that any way. You do want at least a mid-size case. The installation was a little tricky just because I had to move my one optical drive down, to make it easier to play with the cables & store them in the empty drive bay. However, this said, it's a great looking power supply, very quiet, and has all the power most users would need. I would buy again!
